Under the spreading chestnut tree, Where I held her on my knee. We were happy as could be, Under the spreading chestnut tree.
--We used to sing antique songs like this in elementary school. This one had motions and dropping-out words. Each time to sing it, you left out another word and substituted a motion, but the song kept going in rhythm. Actually quite difficult!
Under the sea! Under the sea! Darling it's better, down where it's wetter, Take it from me! Up on the shore they work all day, Under the sea we laugh and play.
