Not songs about any old town, but specifically named places.

That transportcafe site has some wonderful photos of trucks/lorries, internationally, and anyone who's ever been interested in England or in trucks will find good things there: photo list and their main page: Truck Stops, Transport Cafes & Lorry Parks Serving Professional Drivers. There's a page about a truck stop for sale, in Essex. There's a cafe, and a photo of it from 1946 with the menu painted on the outside windows--spam and chips, and other good 1940's things! The cafe is remodelled, and for sale! There are photos of recent menus as well.

This is by Rodema Ashby, an artist in Albuquerque (and an engineer at Sandia National Laboratories; her name was different then). Rodema was my calligraphy teacher and always appreciated the ballads I knew.
