Zoo

All photos are the Rio Grande Zoo in Albuquerque. I took all but the Giraffe; that's on their site. That's Marty, in the white shirt, at the polar bear pool, with Joey, Bo and Brett Henry.

Something tells me it's all happening at the zoo
I do believe it
I do believe it's true

Elsie the elephant, Elsie at the zoo
Elsie's your name, and Elsie's my name too
Elsie the elephant, Elsie at the zoo
Every day, elephant, I'll come to visit you.

Something my cousin, Nada, learned in 3rd grade and taught us at home

Aunt Donna wrote that for Jared, her youngest of 4, who is now singing it to his own 2 year old -- I hope!

I think Sissie played the other end of the same song Sally played, but for "Zoo" it's kind of appropriate. It's like seeing different aspects of the elephant.

Oh! TV SHOWS!

Come along with us to
Zoobilee Zoo, Zoobilee Zoo
Magic and wonder are waiting for you

Kirby adored that show. Holly still sings it. It's still not on DVD (or wasn't when we checked recently), but it was an in-animal-costume-and-make-up show with Ben Vereen as the mayor.

We went to the four-legged zoo
To visit our 4-footed friends. . . .
I liked the gazelle.
