Short version of rules
Without using a search engine to find one, write down at least eight words of a song containing the word (or the topic, if it's a general topic).
If it's the newest word, play once, and wait for another player to play before you go again.
On older words, you can play over and over without waiting!

(I looked this up to see who wrote this, and it's called The Great Titanic by Roy Acuff. I also found out that the "Uncles and aunts, little kiddies lost their pants" part that we sung at camp was not from the original. Shocking!)

About The Titanic, Roy Acuff didn't write it--there are other versions out there, similar but not the same. Keith "filked" it once for a dwarf-tournament, and that part was
"Many a good dwarf died
Had to kiss his axe goodbye."
I've known that song since I was a teen and I just love it.
I can't think of a song and Marty can't either. I'm sorry to comment without playing.

About the Titanic song, I guess that website was wrong about the writer. Imagine that, something on the internet was wrong!

It was very common when the recording industry was new for traditional songs to be credited to the first person who recorded them. And maybe he did write it, but there are other versions sufficiently different that it seems they branched out before that recording was made. Maybe go with two out of three sources you find on the internet. :-)
