On the wings of love,
up and above the clouds,
the only way to fly is on the wings of love,

And it's a brand new day
We're on the wings of an angel
Flying away

Spread your tiny wings and fly away
And take the snow back with you

"Wings of a Dove" is WONDERFUL. I think I have a 78 of it. (For the kids here, those younger than 50, that's a 76 RPM recorded disk from Ancient Days. They were not vinyl, so don't even start with that "vinyl" thing. Even the first Beatles record wasn't vinyl. (Meet the Beatles on the Capitol label was, but Introducing the Beatles on VeeJay wasn't.)

OH! Where was I?

Mary Hopkins, a Paul McCartney protege from the 60's:

"The sparrow sings, the sparrow flies
On mighty wings he reaches
As high as any other bird
He shall inherit all the earth."

If I were a little sparrow
O'er these mountains I would fly
I would find him, I would find him
Look into his lying eyes
I would flutter all around him
On my little sparrow wings
I would ask him, I would ask him
Why he let me love in vain

she's got his ring and he's got the keys to her heart
it's just matter of time
they'll spread their wings and fly...

If I had the wings of an angel
Over these prison walls I would fly

"New Jail," I learned it from my mom and I don't know who recorded it. Bob Wills or some such I guess.
