Poison Ivy
Poison Ivy
Late at night when you're sleeping
Poison Ivy comes a creeping around

If we were playing in person and actually singing these songs, I'd play whichever tune Sandra didn't of "The Holly and the Ivy." Instead, I'll play

Our lives are tangled
Like the branches of a vine
That intertwine

-"Where Do You Start?"

It's a chant more than a song, but for starting jump ropes when we were too little to jump in to a turning rope, we would start with it swinging back and forth near the ground, and jump and say

Blue
Bells
Cockle
Shells
Evie
Ivy
O-
-ver and at that last word they would start the full circles.

Today, while the blossom still clings to the vine
I'll taste your strawberries, I'll drink your sweet wine

It's from that 'Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah' song - no idea who sings it.
