The great ocean liners sail bravely away; They travel by night and by day. But braver than these were the venturesome three, The Pinta, the NiƱa, the Santa Marie.
Out of my window, looking in the night I can see the barges' flickering light Silently flows the river to the sea And the barges, they go silently
Barges, I would like to go with you I would like to sail the ocean blue Barges, have you treasures in your hold? Do you fight with pirates brave and bold?

Now here I lay in my twenty third year, How I wish I was in Sherbrook now. It's been six years since we sailed away, and I just made Halifax yesterday.

I'm sailing down the summer day Where fish and seagulls play I put my troubles all away And when the gale comes up I'll fill my cup With the whiskey of the highlands She's a good old ship and she'll make the trip From the lee of Christian Island

There is a ship
And it sails the sea
It's loaded deep
As deep can be
But not so deep
As the love I'm in
I care not if
I sink or swim

Sailing ~ Christopher Cross
...we sail at break of day-ay-ay-ay.
Through our last night ashore,
Drink to the foam.

OMG I figured this would be the first song snatched up. But it's mine! All mine!
I'm sailing away
Set an open course
For the virgin sea...
and of course later on
Come sail away
Come sail away
Come sail away with me...

although now I can't think of that song without hearing South Park's Cartman singing it in fast-forward. LOL!
The waves crash in,
The tide rolls out.
It's an angry sea,
But there is no doubt
That the lighthouse
Will keep shining out
To warn a lonely sailor.

There was a little ship and it sailed upon the sea

I saw three ships come sailing in
On Christmas day in the morning
The great ocean liners sail bravely away;
They travel by night and by day.
But braver than these were the venturesome three,
The Pinta, the NiƱa, the Santa Marie.

My husband once shipped in a whaler
And sailed to the far northern seas
But being a bold-hearted sailor
He cared not for ice, sea, nor breeze
And now he's no longer a sailor
He often wakes up in the night
And thinking he's still on the whaler
Cries out with the greatest delight,
"Eight bells! Eight bells!
Rouse out there the watch from below!
Eight bells! Eight bells!
Rouse out there the watch from below!"
-"Eight Bells," a sea chanty
Come all ye bold fisherman
Listen to me
I'll sing you a song of
The fish in the sea
First comes the bluefish
A-wagging his tail
He comes up on deck and yells,
"All hands make sail!"
-"Song of the Fishes"
(There are about 13 verses, each with different fish.)
It's fun to charter an accountant
And sail the wild accountancy
To find, explore, the funds offshore
And [skirt?] the shoals of bankruptcy...
