I have something in my pocket That belongs across my face...
(that sounds kinda awful by itself so I'll finish the lyrics)
...I keep it very close at hand In a most convenient place
I bet you could not guess it If you guessed a long, long while
So I'll take it out and put it on-- It's a great big Brownie smile. =========================
Poetically/lyrically speaking, it should be only four lines long, not four stanzas, but this comment box will wrap it around... and it's way better sung and acted out. I learned it when I was a Brownie (pre-Girl-Scout level of Olden Times)
On a hill far away Stands a tall, mighty tree Where a boy and girl used to Take turns pushing the tire swing. I remember the pocketknife in hand And her name in my heart And thinking there ain't no way For a boy to contain The love he feels inside.
My Tree Chris Rice I didn't think of this one for "remember" or "heart"
