I will follow him
Follow him wherever he may go

(I just watched Sister Act this week, so that's still stuck in my head)

My boyfriend's back

This is on a good annotated list of "The 200 greatest songs of the 1960s" which I read through once, and searched again tonight to find this great description:

"Not so much about a boyfriend than about one boy coming home to beat the living hell out of another boy, this 1963 single, originally meant for the Shirelles, is one of the most flat-out mean girl-group tracks ever. College coeds will forever sing it when their high school beaus come to visit, but unless said beau is punching a few suitors in the face on arrival, he's missing the spirit of the whole thing. --Zach Baron"

(here and there are photos too)

speaking of mean girl group songs,
Sandra's made me think of this one..

He hit me and it felt like a kiss. He hit me and I knew he loved me. 'Cause if he didn't care for me, I could have never made him mad. He hit me and I was glad.

- He Hit Me (And It Felt Like A Kiss) The Crystals and later, Hole
