Company
Either a group of people engaged in business or an activity, or visitors. Or "visitor" or "guest" or a situation in which one was visiting or being a guest, or being company.
This comes to mind because I have a friend arriving soon who was (I thought) supposed to arrive on Sunday, and so I don't have as much time or attention as I usually do. A college friend I've kept up with, will be here for several days.
